© Nik's Lament

This was my final major project last year, Nik's Lament, a children's book of which every page was an etching. I used photoshop to add in the ink splatters and my own writing. I am pleased with the outcome but I now know there was so much more I could have done with it. These are just a few pages from the book which I hand bound, adding pen nibs to the threading to be used as a bookmark.

© S.M.A.R.T Bunting

These are my connectable and detachable bunting designs which I created for educational purposes for children, currently needs much more development but the concept I feel has a big market! Instead of one set length you can have it as long or as short as you want! Where do you know has Bunting that is made up of hundreds of separate sections?

© Lost Conversations

Here I have created Ceramic transfer designs. These were inspired by sitting in local coffee shops, listening into strangers' conversations around me. What I recorded was a delightful surprise. I felt that when people leave a coffee shop they often forget all of what was said, almost like water running down a plug hole. These designs are a delightful reminder of these conversations and a refreshing concept of conversation running away like water from our memories.

© McDonald's

These are my illustrations and models of my feelings towards Mc Donald's. They combine both the naievety of childhood toys with the harsh reality of life as you grow to adulthood.

These are a few images used within the animation I recently made. You'll have to watch it to see the moral of the story! But in general the narrative is escaping from the brilliant book 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' by Roald Dahl. The illustrations panic.

© Typography

This was just a random exercise I set myself of experimenting with typography and found objects. Here I cut out the type using a scalpel from wet leaves, when they dried they crinkled up to create a great effect.

© Etching the Obscurities of Your Imagination

These are two Etchings from a series of 10 titled 'Etching the Obscurities of Your Imagination'. They were produced after a long process of asking many people to describe to me, in words, their imaginary character or friend, I then drew these. Once drawn I allowed people to see the characters and from there I asked of them to write me a line of a story using the characters. It was very peculiar to see the results!
